China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Tuesday that it decided to add 15 US entities including Leidos on the export control list, effective on Tuesday, in order to safeguard national security and interests and to fulfill the international obligations of nonproliferation.
Export of dual-use items to the 15 US entities mentioned above is prohibited, and relevant ongoing export activities should cease immediately, according to the announcement. In special circumstances where export is necessary, exporters shall first submit an application to the Ministry of Commerce.
The 15 entities include Leidos, Gibbs&Cox, IP Video Market Info, Shield AI, Group W, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, and General Dynamics Land Systems.
A spokesperson from China's Ministry of Commerce said on Tuesday that in line with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and to safeguard the country's national security and interests and fulfill non-proliferation and other international obligations, China has decided to add the 15 US entities that jeopardize China's national security and interests on the export control list, prohibiting the export of dual-use items to those entities. No exporting operator is allowed to violate the above-mentioned provisions.
