On Tuesday, with China's permission, the Philippines dispatched a civilian ship to deliver essential supplies to an illegally "grounded" warship at Ren'ai Jiao. The China Coast Guard (CCG) monitored and verified the entire process, CCG spokesperson Liu Dejun said in a statement on Wednesday.

China has urged the Philippine side to honor its commitment to engage with China to jointly manage maritime affairs in the region. Liu added that the CCG will continue its rights-safeguarding and law enforcement activities in the Nansha Qundao, including Ren'ai Jiao and surrounding waters, in accordance with the law.
