Ambassador of Bangladesh to China Nazmul Islam visited Yunnan Province from March 10 to March 11. The two sides agreed to deepen practical cooperation in various fields, establish a bond of people-to-people exchanges, and seek common development and well-being.
The ambassador's delegation met with Vice Governor Xu Hao of Yunnan Province and held talks to exchange their views on promoting friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between Yunnan Province and Bangladesh.
Xu welcomed Ambassador Nazmul's visit to Yunnan shortly after assuming his new post, and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Yunnan Province.
The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh and the China-Bangladesh Cultural Exchange Year.
The ambassador said Yunnan has long been a strong driving force for promoting friendship between the two countries.
The ambassador expressed his hopes to continue to strengthen connectivity and cooperation, establish a bond of people-to-people exchanges, and seek common development and well-being.
