In response to a media inquiry about the number of foreign executives attending the China Development Forum and whether the participation of US business executives has declined, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Thursday referred it to competent Chinese authorities for inquiry. 

"What l can tell you is that China has always welcomed business communities from all countries to invest, expand their presence in the market, and share the benefits of China's development," Mao said at a regular press briefing.
