During the month of Ramadan, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the League of Arab States Mission jointly hosted the first Ramadan football championship in Beijing from March 14 to 16. 

The event invited football fans from embassies of various countries in China to participate in the competition. 

Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, ambassador of the UAE to China and Mohamed Abdel Latif Hamed, Chargé d'Affaires of the League of Arab States Mission in China, delivered remarks at the opening ceremony. 

They also presented awards to the winning teams and players at the closing ceremony.

Over the three-day games, the participants enhanced understanding, exchanges and friendship.
