A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on March 23 to celebrate Pakistan Day. The ceremony was attended by embassy officials and members from the Pakistani community in China. Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi sent congratulations to the Pakistani community on National Day.

The ambassador urged the community to mark the occasion with a renewed commitment to working with integrity, dedication, and sincerity, aiming to project a positive image of Pakistan in China. He also highlighted the initiatives undertaken and planned by the embassy to deepen China-Pakistan trade and economic cooperation. 

In addition to this ceremony, the embassy also hosted Pakistan's National Day reception in Beijing on March 20. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong attended the event and met with the ambassador. 

Sun extended his sincere congratulations on Pakistan's 86th National Day. No matter how the international landscape may evolve, China always prioritizes Pakistan in its diplomacy and is committed to developing an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between China and Pakistan, said Sun. 

The ambassador extended his warm congratulations on the successful conclusion of China's two sessions, and spoke highly of the prospects of Chinese modernization development. He stressed that Pakistan-China relations are unique and rock-solid. Pakistan is striving to achieve social stability and economic revitalization. Pakistan is willing to strengthen strategic dialogue with China, deepen practical cooperation on the Belt and Road Initiative.
