China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun on Tuesday extended warm welcome to international visitors to explore the beautiful landscape of China during this spring, adding that the country will expand visa-free access and roll out additional visa facilitation measures to encourage people-to-people exchanges.

When asked about the increasing number of foreign tourists, including social media influencers, traveling to China and shared their perspectives through words and lenses, which has led many foreign netizens to comment that they've seen a different side of the country, Guo offered China's warm welcome and positive attitude at a routine press briefing on Tuesday.

"We welcome more international friends to experience the charm of China this spring," Guo said.

Guo noted a recent surge in diplomatic activity and grassroots exchanges. Overseas social media Influencers have used live-streaming tools to showcase unfiltered and authentic scenes of China, sparking a new wave of interest in China among global audiences.

This "China travel frenzy" highlights that the deep and unbreakable foundation of people-to-people bonds between China and the rest of the world, said Guo.

The spokesperson added that an increasing number of international visitors are choosing to visit China, whether through virtual tours or in-person visits. Since December 17, 2024, the port in the capital city of Beijing has processed more than 1.3 million foreigners' entrances and exits. Of them, more than 310,000 benefited from the visa-free policy - a 150 percent increase from before the policy adjustment.
