When responding to a media question regarding if there has been any communication and talks between China and the US at any level given that China and the US have announced tariff measures and countermeasures, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday that "I don't think what the US side has done reflects a willingness to have serious talks. If the US side really wants to talk, it should show equality, respect and reciprocity. If the US side disregards the interests of the two countries and the international community, and insists on initiating a tariff war or a trade war, China will fight till the end."
