In response to media inquiries regarding US Vice President JD Vance's comments in a media interview about the Trump administration's trade policy toward China — in which he claimed, "We borrow money from Chinese peasants to buy the things those Chinese peasants manufacture," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that we have made very clear China's position on China-US economic and trade relations has been consistently clear.
