The maiden flight of China Southern Airlines, an A380, took off from the Beijing Daxing International Airport at 16:22 on September 25 to Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province, signaling the official start of the new airport. The international air hub is to provide transportation support for the Xiongan New Area in North China’s Heibei Province and the Belt and Road Initiative.
